    Aprox. 111/16" tall.

Haidakhan Wale Baba lived in the foothills of the Himalayas, in the Kumaon region, birthplace of many of India's great saints. He was acknowledged as Shiva Mahavatar Babaji, the eternal manifestation of God in human form.

Babaji's recent physical manifestation was between 1970 to 1984, when He appeared in a holy cave at the foot of the Kumaon Mount Kailash in a remote village called Haidakhan. Many people, from all over the world, have mystically been drawn to Babaji through extraordinary events, dreams, and visions and are receiving His Blessings.

Babaji urged the people to "follow the religion that is in your heart." He said "every religion leads to the same divine goal" and that he had come to revive the eternal and ageless religion, the Sanatan Dharma; the three basic principles: Truth, Simplicity, and Love. He emphasized constant repetition of the ancient Sanskrit maha-mantra OM NAMAH SHIVAYA -- "Lord, Thy Will be Done" and to live in harmony along with selfless service to humanity.

Shri Babaji is acknowledged as the Shiva Mahavatar Babaji described by Paramahansa Yogananda in "Autobiography of a Yogi"': a Mahavatar being a human manifestation of the Divine who can materialize a body at will. Babaji's devotees believe that He has continually manifested since Creation to help Humanity. One manifestation of Babaji was around 1800 at which time He traveled extensively in the Kumaon region of the Himalayas, gathering his devotees and disciples around Him. In 1922 He traveled to the meeting place of the Kali and Gori Rivers, seated Himself on the surface of the water and disappeared in a ball of light.

His latest manifestation was between 1970 and 1984, and was foretold by a great Saint, Mahendra Baba, who following a lifelong search for Babaji, experienced a miraculous meeting with Him at Siddhashram, near Ranikhet in Uttar Pradesh, India. Thereafter, Mahendra Baba devoted himself to traveling through India prophesying Babaji's return.

Babaji appeared in 1970, as a youth of 18 or 20 years, in a holy cave at the foot of Kumaon Mount Kailash at Haidakhan, near Haldwani in Uttar Pradesh, India. His divine power was experienced in many ways: in September of 1970 He ascended Mount Kailash and sat on the summit without food or sleep for 45 days; several people saw Him simultaneously in different places; He healed the sick; He brought transformation into many people's lives.

Babaji spent most of His 14-year incarnation at Haidakhan where he established a beautiful ashram, and near the village of Chilianaula, near Ranikhet, He built a large and breathtakingly beautiful Temple and Ashram overlooking the Himalayas.

Babaji taught that He had come to revive the Santana Dharma, the ageless Eternal Religion from which all religions have come. He stressed three basic principles: Truth, Simplicity, and Love. He emphasized constant repetition of the mantra "Om Namah Shivaya","I surrender to God", and selfless service to Mankind.

Many people have been drawn to Babaji and many spiritual centers in the West have been dedicated to Babaji and His teachings. Thousands of people all over the world have received Babaji's blessings and have been called to the spiritual path through extraordinary events, dreams, and visions.

Babaji left his body on 14 February 1984. He had come to give a message to the world, and having done this, He left. His last message was:

    "I am always with you".

    SHRI YANTRA
Powerful Tool for Healing from Ancient Wisdom Tradition

The Yantra is a powerful and dynamic sacred symbol which arouses the inner life fore to the fullest. These symbols have been used traditionally in India for millennia to harness healing energies. Yantras are geometrical figures made from linear elements intended to represent, in a synthetic form, the basic energies of the natural world. It is the physical expression of mantra, which is a Divine aspect in the form of sound vibration. Yantra is in the form of a geometrical figure.

This particular Yantra engraved on copper is the Shri yantra. Copper is a healing agent, according to the ancient science of Ayurveda. Shri Yantra is the most powerful geometric formation in the world, consisting of nine criss-crossed triangles in two-or three-dimensional form. Criss-crossed triangular geometrical formation has tremendous amount of cosmic powers capable of aligning the positive cosmic energy in one's favor.

Tradition says that Shri Yantra enhances prosperity, affluence, peace, harmony and health for the entire home; and of course, for the person wearing the Yantra at the Heart Chakra, over the thymus gland. (That means, with yantra placed at the center point of the horizontal line between the two nipples: with the geometric design touching the skin.)

This copper Yantra has been infused and charged with Pranic Energy (Universal Life Forece) in order to activate the healing power. This is generally done by maintaining the Yantra in special places of shakti for a certain time and then charging them with vibrations of mantras. Prana is the vital energy which pulsates through us and connects us with the Cosmos; and it is the pranic energy contained in this yantra which makes it a powerful device ready to operate to protect you, to bring health at all levels and also prosperity both spiritual and material. With the recent ecological disasters in Venezuela, with tremendous destruction from floods and mud slides, it was proven thtat the Yantra coupled with the practice of Agnihotra healing fire provided amazing protection to Agnihotra practitioners who carried them.

According to ancient tradition, yantras emanate healing energies when they have been charged in the appropriate manner, causing a positive effect in the healing of mind an body. Most important, the yantra must be charged by a pure person whose mind is always full of love, i.e., one who practices Love thy neighbor as thyself in his daily life, and not simply by anyone who knows the process of Tantra in an intellectual way. Thus, the power is transferred to the Yantra.

In the case of this Yantra, everything necessary has been performed according to the ancient, traditional manner. You may place your Yantra in your room or meditate with it. You may keep your Yantra submerged in water all night long and drink the water the next morning. (Try to avoid using plastic or aluminum vessels.) Ancient tradition says that the water receives healing energies.

Alternatively, you may place the Yantra directly on the body wherever it needs healing energy, with the design side next to the skin. The Yantra should be worn with cotton, copper or gold thread or chain. Also, you may place the Yantra on the soles of your feet, particularly while sleeping.

During the period of healing, the Yantra may become discolored or even turn black. This is not uncommon. The Yantra may be cleaned with toothpaste, tamarind pulp, vinegar with salt or lemon with salt.

When first using the Yantra it is possible that any symptoms may become more pronounced. This is also normal and would indicate that the body has gone into a healing crisis. Do not worry about this. If necessary, reduce the amount of exposure to the Yantra, but try to use it at least some time every day.

Japa is repeating God's nameJapa Nam - Repeating God's Name
In order to focus one's mind on God, Babaji taught people to chant the ancient mantra Om Namah Shivaya. It is a Sanskrit phrase which means something like "I surrender to/bow to/take refuge in God," or "Lord, Thy will be done." The Name of God used in this mantra is Lord Shiva, the Supreme Manifestation of God. Constant repetition of the mantra (japa) focuses the mind on God - opens the heart and mind to God - and stops, or reduces, the tendency of one's mind to constantly plan (the future), worry (about the past), daydream (illusion), or otherwise idle away in essentially useless activity.

Repeating God's Name of Om Namah Shivaya is a protection and a purification of the consciousness. It is like a clear running stream, constantly washing and renewing the mind for higher purpose. Babaji's main purpose for re-appearing is to reform the hearts and minds of people. He comes to remove confusion and evil from mankind. Shri Babaji once said: "The mind can be purified only by japa. This is the only medicine for the disease of the mind. While your mind and heart are impure, how can God live in your heart? The water to clean your heart is the Name of God. Teach everyone to repeat the Name of God -- everywhere."

The mind that is generally focused on God's Name(s) responds, when the need arises, spontaneously to perform its required functions quickly, easily and well. Babaji emphasized Om Namah Shivaya but also gave other mantras on some occasions. The essence of his instruction is "Repeat God's Name." Shri Babaji said that when the great destruction comes to the world, those who believe in and worship God sincerely, and especially those who repeat His Name, will be saved by the power of the mantra. "God's Name is more powerful than a thousand atomic and hydrogen bombs."

    How to perform Japa
Usually, japa is performed on a mala (prayer beads, 108 beads per strand, like a rosary). In the morning, upon waking from sleep, a bath is taken immediately (pour water over all the body from a bucket with a cup). After bath and dressing in your prayer clothes, you sit peacefully in front of your altar. You touch the mala only with the right hand. You hold the beads without using the index finger (index finger is known as the "ego" finger so you leave the ego out of this). You begin where the mala has one larger bead and a tassle; you say one mantra per bead, working the mala around between thumb and middle finger. Once you have completed the 108 repetitions, you turn the mala around and go back the same direction you came. The large bead at the end is called the "guru" bead, so you "don't cross the guru," you keep turning the mala around and going back over the beads the opposite direction. Since 5 is a Shiva number, it is good to do a minimum of 5 rounds of the mala at a sitting. This is done morning and evening.
